    Tang Huajun believes that there are some problems in the past talent training of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, such as the imbalance of the structure of talents among disciplines, the lack of close combination of talent training, use, allocation and major scientific research tasks.

    "At present, 66% of the leading talents are concentrated in four advantageous disciplines, namely crop, animal husbandry, plant protection, resources and environment. The number of high-level talents in traditional disciplines such as agricultural machinery, agricultural engineering, economic information is insufficient, and the talent layout of emerging interdisciplinary disciplines such as artificial intelligence breeding, nanomaterial technology and energy and microorganism is obviously insufficient." He said that the next step is to accurately introduce talents according to the layout of innovation chain and industrial chain, and realize the precise cultivation of talents and efficient allocation of science and technology resources.

    In terms of talent training, Tang Huajun believes that the use of talent training and utilization should be planned and overall with major scientific research layout, implementation of major scientific and technological tasks, and construction of major innovation platform. Meanwhile, the international talent training plan shall be implemented, and scientific research and management personnel in key fields shall be selected to carry out cooperative research and learning exchanges in world-class scientific research institutes, and the internationalization level shall be accelerated.
